John Garland Bowes Scholarship Fund

The John Garland Bowes Scholarship Fund was established in 2007 by Diana Bowes Weller 1982 in memory of her father. Her gift celebrates Mr. Bowes’ legacy and a life that encompassed a love of family, creativity in one’s vocation, and a passion for the arts—all of which were fueled by his compassionate and generous character. Income from this Fund will provide financial aid to Amherst students with demonstrated financial need as determined by the Dean of Admission and Financial Aid.
