Ivory H. Bartlett Scholarship Fund

The Ivory H. Bartlett Scholarship Fund was established by bequest of Ivory H. Bartlett, Jr. of New Bedford, Massachusetts, who died in 1880. Bartlett was a member of the firm Ivory H. Bartlett & Sons, outfitters of whaling ships, and Director of First National Bank of New Bedford. Though not an Amherst alumnus himself, Bartlett’s favorite nephew was a graduate of the College and he was thus interested in its future.
