Laverne Noyes Foundation

Established upon the death of Laverne Noyes in 1919. The scholarship is awarded to deserving students needing assistance who are U.S. citizens and who are direct descendants by blood from anyone who has served in the U.S. Army or Navy in World War I and whose termination of service was due to death or Honorable Discharge. There was some discussion in 1976 to alter this description since the number of eligible students has been dwindling but nothing has been changed to date.
