Earl W. Merrill '27 Scholarship Fund

The Earl W. Merrill ’27 Scholarship Fund was established in 1988 by the friends and relatives of Earl W. Merrill ’27. This scholarship is to be awarded annually to a student of outstanding character and ability. Earl W. Merrill ’27 was the recipient of the Howard Hill Mossman Trophy for the outstanding scholar-athlete of his class, so preference for this scholarship award will be given to a scholar-athlete. The award will be made at the conclusion of the junior year for use during the senior year at Amherst. The recipients are to be selected by the Director of Financial Aid in consultation with the Director of Athletics.
