Jordan A. Moore-Fields 2011 Scholarship Fund
The Jordan A. Moore-Fields ‘11 Scholarship Fund, established in 2011 by Jordan’s parents, Jacqueline Moore P’11 and Mark Fields P’11 together with son Merrick and daughters Kendall and Lindsay in loving memory of their son and brother, is a permanently endowed scholarship fund at Amherst College. The gift celebrates Jordan’s legacy and a life that encompassed a love of family and friends, a sense of fun and adventure, quiet charm and a passion for life itself—all of which were fueled by his kindhearted and generous character. Jordan’s infectious smile, beautiful writing, and passion for politics will forever be remembered. Income from this fund will provide financial aid to students at Amherst having demonstrated financial need as determined by the Dean of Admission and Financial Aid, with preference for an African American with an interest in political science.
