Mike Ransom Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Mike Ransom Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1979 by Robert Ransom ‘41 in memory of his son Robert (Mike) Jr., Second Lieutenant, Infantry, American Division, who died in 1968 in Vietnam. He was a reluctant participant in a cause in which neither he nor any of his family believed. This scholarship is awarded to a deserving student. It is hoped by Mike’s family that this scholarship assistance will better prepare the recipient to respond actively and effectively to any future attempt to involve the United States in another immoral tragedy like Vietnam.
