J. Vernon Williams Scholarship Fund

The J. Vernon Williams Scholarship Fund was established in 1996 by Mary McLellan and J. Vernon Williams ’43. Mr. Williams was a recipient of a tuition scholarship for four years; he also received the Samuel Wally Brown Prize. He was president of his class, of Sphinx, and of his fraternity (Chi Psi), co-captain of the track team, played varsity football, and was a member of Scarab and of the double quartet. There will be a preference to those students of proven or potential leadership and diverse interests and abilities.
