James K. Alexander, M.D. Scholarship Award Fund

The James K. Alexander, M.D. Scholarship Award Fund, established in 1992 by James K. Alexander, M.D. 1942, is a permanently endowed scholarship fund at Amherst College providing financial aid to Amherst students with demonstrated financial need, with a preference for pre-med students during their junior and senior years. Within eligible pre-med students, those from Texas or Houston will receive preference. If there are no eligible pre-med students in any given year, Fund income will not be awarded, but will be returned to principal.
