George Sarvis Scholarship Fund

The George Sarvis Scholarship Fund was established in 1990 by Richard S. Sarvis ‘64 in honor of his father and his strong commitment to Amherst College. The fund will be part of the endowment of the College, and the income only will be used each year to provide financial aid in accordance with the College’s financial aid policies in effect at the time. In awarding the scholarship aid made available by this fund, strong preference will be given to those students majoring in philosophy who are active in athletics.
