Elbert W. Rockwood 1884 Fund

Established in 1969 by bequest of Alan C. Rockwood who, in accordance with his father’s wishes for the residue of his (father’s) estate, stated that funds be used to aid those students who showed the most promise of being of use to the world. Alan Rockwood desired that preference in aid be given to those students who are majoring in chemistry, physics or geology, or who are taking pre-medical courses. His father was the late Elbert Rockwood, Class of 1884. A letter was sent to his close friend, J. Chester Bowers, for information about Alan Rockwood. There is no indication in the files that a response was received.
