Moore Beneficiary Fund

Established in 1838 by the will of former College President Zephaniah Swift Moore for the support of an indigent student who has good and promising talents, is professedly pious and pursuing an education with a view to the Gospel ministry and who shall be selected by the ministers of the Brookfield (Massachusetts) Association of Ministers. If such an individual is not nominated, the College may refer a deserving student to the Brookfield Association for their approval (1941 decision). The Congregational Association for western Worcester County and eastern Hampden County has replaced the Brookfield Association in recent years. One-third of the fund income is to be used towards the principal.
