Bacon Family Fund

The Bacon Family Fund is a testamentary fund established jointly by Theodore S. Bacon, Jr. ‘42, P’71, ‘66 and The Bacon Family Charitable Remainder Trust; Theodore S. Bacon, Jr. ’42, P’71, ‘66 and The Sarah H. and Theodore S. Bacon Jr.’42, P’71, ’66 Charitable Remainder Trust; and Dorothy W. Bacon, and the Kenneth H. Bacon ’66 and Dorothy W. Bacon Charitable Remainder Unitrust. It is included in the endowment of Amherst College and provides financial aid to Amherst students with high demonstrated financial need as determined by the Dean of Admission and Financial Aid, with preference given to students whose need exceeds three quarters of the Amherst College comprehensive fee. The fund also provides general support for the Center for Community Engagement.
