Amherst College Canadian Foundation

This Fund was established in 1969 at the instigation of Coe Suydam ’30 because gifts to the College were not deductible under the Canadian tax code at that time. The Foundation was set up to receive gifts and award financial aid to Canadian students at Amherst. The Foundation has since been dissolved because of a change in Canadian tax laws. The income from this fund is to be used for Canadian students and visiting Canadian professors.
