Melissa Ketunuti Basselier 1999 Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Melissa Ketunuti Basselier 1999 Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2013 by Melissa’s loving family and friends. Amherst College was an important part of Melissa’s life. She developed lifelong friendships along with a strong science foundation which helped her to achieve her major successes in the field of medicine. She served as a pediatrician, helping children in need and caring for those less fortunate. In honor of Melissa’s legacy, the Melissa Ketunuti Basselier 1999 Memorial Scholarship Fund is intended to benefit students with demonstrated financial need, with a preference for international students, particularly those interested in pursuing careers in science and medicine.
