Otis and Alice Cary Scholarship Fund

The Otis and Alice Cary Scholarship Fund at Amherst College was established in November 1992 as a tribute to the lifetime service that Otis Cary 1943 and his wife, Alice, have given to Amherst College, to Doshisha University, and to the cause of international understanding through education, particularly between the peoples of Japan and the United States. Income from this Fund provides scholarship support for financially needy students pursuing Japanese or Asian Studies, with a preference for those studying the language, history, economics, government, and culture of Japan.
